    Seiya Suzuki meets 2 hours as Cubs Power Past Tiger

    Seiya Suzuki led a five-home barrier fire with two solo shots when the visiting Chicago Cubs drove 6-1 past the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

    Suzuki beat his 15th and 16th Homer to support Jameson Taillon (6-3), who achieved his fourth victory in a row and the fifth start in a row. Taillon allowed a run and three goals with a walk and five strike outs in Seven Innings.

    Taillon only approved five runs during his winning streak within 26 2/3 innings.

    Michael Busch met a Homer with two runs, while Pete Crow-Armstrong and Matt Shaw added solo explosions. Except for two of Chicago’s hits, Homeruns were after the cubs were held into a run every time.

    Zach McKinStry had a triple and scored the only run for Detroit. Keider Montero gave up four runs and five goals in 5 2/3 innings.

    Suzuki’s two-off home, which in the first off-off-tyler Holton (2-3), which was used as an opener, gives the Cubs an early advantage.

    Nico Hoerner performed the fifth inning for the Cubs with an infield single and Busch hit his two runs, an estimated shot on 414 feet, over the right field wall for his 10th Homer.

    Chicago extended his lead in seventh place when Crow-Armstrong headed a 0-1 curve ball from Montero via the right field wall for his 17th Homer.

    Three battery later Shaw smoked a 2-1-montero slider over the left field fence to make it 5-1. Suzuki’s second Homer of the day came in the eighth inn of Chase Lee.

    Detroit had two Baserunner in the eighth and ninth innings, but could not cross any further run.
