Fans discuss who they want as Middlesbrough, according to Northern Echo, three main candidates for the manager’s job.
Middlesbrough narrowed her search for a new head coach to replace Michael Carrick with Rob Edwards, Steve Cooper and Danny Rohl as top candidates.
The club excluded Steven Gerrard, Marti Cifuentes and Gary O’Neil. The final interviews are set for the coming days, with an appointment expected by the end of this week or early next week, so that the new trainer can prepare time before training before the season.
Rob Edwards previously led Luton Town 2022-23 to the championship promotion and headed a competitive Premier League campaign, even though it had relegated. Luton left the championship in January after fighting. Also on the radar of Bristol City.
Steve Cooper led Nottingham Forest to promote in 2021-22 and secured the survival of the Premier League, but was released after bad starts by Forest and later Leicester. Known for dynamic, attacking football.
Danny Rohl held in the championship on Wednesday despite financial problems on Wednesday. Praised for his work, but his 5 million pounds -remuneration clause can be negotiable due to the financial problems on Wednesday. Also connected to Wolfsburg.

Fans discuss who they want as Middlesbrough, three main candidates for the manager’s job …
@Tomoneill84: Edwards had a good season as a manager. Will always support our manager, but how can someone who had a good season have been released by Watford and back -to -to -back -kreligles had our top goal. He doesn’t even play a nice football to excite the fans.
@Chrisrobson13: Realistically, it has been Edwards’ job since he was available
@Strickland__ben: I don’t know why I had expected that we would be a little fun. There is one last chance to do this. Make Röhl
@Danielw26738836: Would be quite satisfied with Cooper, gutted by Edwards and buzzing with Rohl! Will be obviously Edwards, isn’t it?
@_Ty_97: I will say when you consider that we have been looking for far and wide and had “excellent” candidates for left -wing field candidates, we feel typical that we have come with the three most obvious candidates, since Gibson has #boro
@wallsendredicko: Does anyone else have strange that after yesterday, who had told us yesterday, we looked at some great candidates from abroad, do we have the same old names today as the shortlist? I wonder if a curve ball is coming and a surprising announcement
@wallsendredicko: I would go Edwards while fits our profile and knows Kieran Scott. Rohl would be a decent appointment, he is a good young manager. Cooper is the logical choice according to the forest, but that doesn’t inspire me and he has nothing to prove, so it could make itself as comfortable as Mangers past.
@Boroboy151: Rohl wants Bundesliga; Cooper wants pl or abroad; When does Edward start?
@The_boro_way: Edwards will always be, Scott knows him and it is the safe option
@_Ty_97: It will be Edwards, not true, although it doesn’t matter to him that he has a bit overwhelming #Boro
@Joescottmfc: So it is either Cooper, Edwards or Röhl next for the #boro hot seat through the look. #Utb
@Callumj67__: If Rob Edwards gets it, there will be a season ticket for a sense in 62 if someone is for you
@djstormo: If it is Edwards, it won’t be an exciting appointment, but I’ll still be behind him and and the team will come
@SM0ggs: Let us moved the Röhlacoaster that moves Pls boys
@Benoliver000: It will be Edwards, but I’m on my knees for Rohl
@ellismfc_: Danny Danny Rohhhlllll
@Karis_noble: Everything screams, it will be Edwards, but come Boro, Sign Röhl and we will jump
@Carldraper98:
Plague
Edwards
Cooper (just because he wants to stay with UEFA)
In this order
@Dannyguitar91: Rohl, Cooper, Edwards. Whoever it is has my support and deserves a chance.
@Kristianlamb1: Danny Rohl
@Joe99090812: Rohl, Cooper, Edwards in this order
@Thomaspeacock_: Rohl’s name will hurt
@The_boro_way: We did the classic PR in which she claims to have candidates from abroad and everything, just to end with Rob Edwards, it is not terrible, but if we are honest, it just doesn’t seem much better than Michael Carrick
@86willo: Röhl and @boro have to do everything to achieve it
@Steptoesyard: Cooper 2. Rohl 3. Edwards
@Dailyboro: Danny Rohl is simply the best investment that this club can make. £ 2 million/£ 4 million for one of the smartest up -and -coming stars in football management, a rare opportunity that we need to take while it is there for us. As close to the perfect fit as we will find. #boro
@boxyboro: Stinled from Edwards, Gibson for the cheap option again
@Jelharfis28: Pay whatever on Wednesday, now Gibbo #boro
Bring Danny Rohl to my football club.#Boro pic.twitter.com/rdjynbxhbd
