The Oklahoma City Thunder in panic is not in panic.
The Indiana Pacers do not take it for granted.
The teams that are at the fourth NBA final in Indianapolis in Indianapolis on Friday do not change the approaches that have worked for them.
The Pacers lead the best-of-Seven series 2: 1 one edge, which they held in each of their four series in this off-season.
“This is the challenge for us at the moment to keep,” said Indiana coach Rick Carlisle. “It must be a killer advantage to beat these boys. We will be an outsider in every game in this series. … it is a discouraging challenge.
The Pacers have gotten in this outsider role, which the Wache of Tyrese Haliburton had driven him and the rest of the team since last season after their victory.
For the thunder it is the second time that they were exposed to such a deficit. After three games in the Western Conference second round series, they dropped against Denver before finally gaining in seven.
Oklahoma City lost only two games in the regular season and has not yet fallen in the playoffs.
“Since it has dropped 2-1 in a series, it can connect emotions, but to move them into the next experience, nobody will help,” said Thunder coach Mark Daigneult on Thursday. “You are 2-1 up and will not help you either. You have to compete when the ball rises. We have made our habit. We have to double again tomorrow.”
The Oklahoma City Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the MVP of the league, said that it was difficult to compare the situations directly from the series with the Nuggets, although there was a team’s reaction there, as the team reacted there.
“We have to be who we are and who we were all the season,” said Gilgeous-Alexander. “I think we came back to this series. If we want to give ourselves a chance in this series, it has to be the same.”
Haliburton said that thanks to a mixture of excitement and stress in the final, he tried to sleep a lot.
The guard in the fifth year has its best game in the series with 22 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds at the 116-107 home win of Indiana in game 3.
“I think the biggest thing is at the moment that this is a really exciting time. Playing against these boys is an honor,” said Haliburton. “It is a lot of fun. This is a 68-profit team, historically one of the best defenses of all time. This is a really good team. They have the MVP. They have a number of types that will be in this league for a long time that have good luck.
“As competitors, you want to compete against the best and these boys are the best.”
For the thunder, the focus is on returning to their defensive identity after the Pacers in game 3 51.8 percent (44 out of 85) have taken the field.
“We went a little bit of it,” said striker Jalen Williams. “I think if you score with a good price, it can sometimes fall a little. This is something we have looked at.
“There will certainly be some adjustments to the schedule,” he continued. “A lot of it is just competing. I don’t want to” compete “, because it sounds like they don’t try.
The Pacers enforced the Thunder 67-43 in the fourth quarter in their two victories in the series.
Indiana’s Myles Turner continues to fight an illness, even though he had a critical block and bounced victory on Wednesday late Wednesday.
Carlisle said that Turner was with the team during her film meeting on Thursday before going home to relax.
“Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow,” said Carlisle. “We’ll see.”
