The biggest quarterback ever, Tom Brady, was mercilessly booed on Sunday on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Hasn’t enough time passed, Colts fans?
Brady was 16: 4 against the Colts throughout his career, including a 4-1 record against Indianapolis in the off-season. During the Peyton Manning era, the Colts could not get past Bradys New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game 2003 and in the 2004 AFC Divisions round. Indy’s only playoff win against Brady came in the AFC championship game 2007. Manning Colts won the Super Bowl. You got your redemption – but the fans have never clearly forgotten.
But these days are long over. They were over. It has been more than a decade since the patriots and colts have met in the NFL playoffs.
Nevertheless, fans Brady did not forget or forgot for his durability and dominance.
The patriots complete their conversion with Quarterback Drake Maye and the new head coach Mike Vrabel. The Colts had their share of quarterback experiments since Manning went to the Denver Broncos, including one run with Andrew Luck, who ended prematurely, a carousel from Bridge Qbs and now Anthony Richardson.
Alex Palou won his first Indy 500 on Sunday and was the first Spanish driver to win the event. Sports history was written. Elsewhere in Indianapolis, the Pacers dropped the fourth game of the Eastern Conference final on Sunday evening. Ironically, the Pacers 0-4 of all time are played in games that are played on the same day as the Indy 500.
But online? Everyone is still talking about Brady.
The NFL is king. But racing fans are not a joke.
FOX trotted Brady in a branded brand, in which the race was reported in one of its many competing cities, was the ultimate troll train. He also took part in a ceremonial first round with Jimmie Johnson before the race. How could someone expect Indiana fans to react differently?
Brady took the output in step, smiled and waved to the crowd that hated him so much.
Manning and Brady both make up successful radio careers. You have remained warm over the years. But the choir on Boos on Sunday, however, shows that Colts fans need more time despite a Lombard trophy in their case to heal.
