    Ussta announces players for the US Open College Wild Card Playoffs from June 16 to 18

    The United States Tennis Association (Usta) announced the participants who will compete in the US Open Wild Card Playoffs, which are to take place from June 16 to 18 at the Usta National Campus.

    The new event with the best American collegiate players, which was announced at the beginning of this month, will earn the average number of American collegiate players who earn US Open Wild Cards this year with six guaranteed US Open Wild Card entries. The winners of the individual and double competitions will earn US Open -Haupt -Education -Singles and Double Wild CardsWhile the finalists of men and women will earn singles US Open Qualifying Wild Cards.

    The men’s singles field is from Columbia’s headliner Michael Zhengwho won the NCAA Herren -Singles title last November, and Michigan State’s Ozan Bariswho lost to Zheng in the final of the NCAA men. The women -Singles field will show Auburns DJ Bennettwho was the second place of the NCAA women for women in November. All three players automatically qualified for the event due to their NCAA performance, while the rest of the field consists of players selected by a committee of Usta employees, college trainers and an ITA representative.

    Arizonas Colton Smith was originally accepted for men -Singles in the field, but declined the invitation. The singles -semi -final will be played on Monday, followed by the double semi -final on Tuesday and the entire final will be challenged on Wednesday. The event is free and the games start at 5 p.m. to maximize the personal number of visitors, while all games are also streamed on the Usta National Campus website
