“The Socal Pro series was described as many of our junior and college players as a real springboard,” said Trevor Kronemann, Executive Director of Usta Southern California. “Recently, one of our current players said that it was more of a trampoline in larger tournaments on the ATP and WTA tours and he has the right goal. This was the goal of the entire Socal Pro series and we are happy about the return of these seven games in a row for the best players in our department.”
The Socal Pro series is loyal to its first mission and has exposed Elite juniors and collegiate players in and around South California to the tennis competition at a professional level and those who have initiated such pro -career in the development of their talent and the provision of a diving board for a higher series of tennis such as The Challenger and ATP/WAT -TOUREN.
In the first three years of the Socal Pro series, 29 women and 16 men who are either southern California or who played a collegial man in South California have their first WTA/ATP world tranking point through the racetrack, including eight women and four men in 2024.
Success stories are abandoned. You don’t have to look back as the Australian Open in January, in which three products from the Socal Pro-Serie-Altadenas Tristan Boyer, Aliso Viejo-Lier Alex Michelsen and Irvine’s learning opening games have won, and Michelsen and Tien entered Melbourne for the first time in the second week of a Grand Slam event.
Michelsen’s meteoric rise The professional ranks began in 2022 in the first Socal Pro series, while Tien won his first Socal Pro series event in his hometown in 2023 and only added four other singles on the race track last summer. He is the most profitable player in the short history of the Socal Pro series.
The two aces, who grew up as friends and training partners in Orange County, competed in December in December (open to the eight of the highest rank players under 21st players) in Saudi Arabia and are now the highest American men under the age of 21 of the world (the 20-year-old Michelsen on No. 33 and 19-year-old Tien No. 67).
Other former champions of the Socal Pro series for men and finalists in the top 250 of the ATP ranking are Brandon Holt (No. 102), Ethan Quinn (No. 106), from Fresno, University of San Diego, August Holmgren (No. 188) and Pacific Beach’s Zach Svajda (No. 227).
Women who have awarded Socal Pro Series as a teenager in higher, announced achievements are San Diegan Katherine Hui, who won the 2023 US Open Girls ‘Singles’ Singles ‘Singles’ Singles title just a few months after playing the 2023 Socal Pro series. Weeks later at the Socal Pro series event in Rancho Santa Fe at the age of 15, she reached the third (and final) qualification round 2024 US Open qualifying in August, and Pareja is now in the WTA ranking in 317.
