Michail Antonio publishes a new compilation video about social media from its horror crash and learns how to go again.
The 36 -year -old survived the incident on December 7, 2024 and suffered after a broken leg after his Ferrari had hit a tree in Epping Forest.
Happed over 45 minutes, he was saved by firefighters and flown to a hospital, later in a stable state in the hospital.
A day later, it was confirmed that he had undergone an operation at a fracture of the lower extremity before he was released from the hospital at the end of December, and his injuries are expected to stay away from football for at least a year.
Despite the ordeal, Antonio has recovered remarkably and returned to training within four months. He shared a video montage of his rehab trip and culminated in his emotional return to the London Stadium in March.
West Ham has currently offered him a short -term deal because he continues his recovery, whereby his future in the club or elsewhere is still uncertain.
Antonio went on Instagram and tried his post: “Faith will overcome all challenges “
In May 2025, a senior source from West Ham to Mail Sport said: “He checks what offers he gets.”
And in an interview with the French outlet L’Equipe, Antonio said: “The question is whether the club wants to extend my contract. This is my priority, but I’m waiting.
“Until then, I can only concentrate on my recovery so that I can deliver where I am next year.”
He also expressed ambitions to expand his Premier League goal, which is currently 68.
“I want to drive the record so that Jarrod Bowen doesn’t catch me,” said Antonio about his Hammers teammate, who currently has 54 goals.
He thanked West Ham for the support she had given him since the accident and unveiled that they had paid for a private room in a hotel so that he continued his recovery with medial support and privacy.
“West Ham was incredible for me from the start, and they are still there for me every day today,” added Antonio.
‘The meetings are very hard. After everyone, my leg is dead for a few hours!
“I do a lot of strength and power work to do my body back to normal. I still fight because my brain says my leg all the time:” You can’t do it. “
“It gets better every day, every week.”
In April, West Ham’s record scorer Premier League visited the remains of the car in a scrap site, which brought the horror incident in the right perspective.
“It gave me a strange feeling in my stomach,” said Antonio that BBC One’s Morning lived at the beginning of this year.
“It only made it clear to me how close I died. I had seen the pictures, but it was ten times worse. The car was an absolute chaos. It was difficult for me.
“I only know that I met a tree – I don’t know how to hit a tree – and that the police came and when they found me in the car, I was sitting between the two.
‘I was more of an emotional man from the crash. I avoided to go back because the crash and the accident was a bit embarrassed to me. Obviously I almost died in the car accident. ‘
