The ex-premier League player Charlie Austin achieves a last-minute winner in a crazy 7th animal playoff with an amazing late comeback.
On April 30, 2025, the 35-year-old achieved a dramatic last gas winner to achieve a 4: 3 victory for AFC Totton against Dorchester Town in the Premier Division South Play-off semi-final of the Southern League.
The match was one of the most remarkable in the history of non-League football history, with four goals being scored in the stop time.
In the 90th minute 2-0, AFC Totton organized an incredible comeback. Scott Rendell scored a penalty to achieve it 2-1, followed by Tony Lee’s goals in the 7th and 10th minutes of the additional time to take a 3-2 lead.
Jack Dickson from Dorchester equalized 3: 3 and forced additional time. Austin’s close-up stitch in the dying moments of extra time booked the AFC Totton place in the play-off final against Gloucester City.
