The ultimate journeyman retirement after a 29-year career at the age of 46, 42 clubs, 51 transfers

The ultimate journeyman, which is Jefferson Louis, moves into retirement after a 29-year-old career as a player, 42 clubs and 51 transfers.

At the beginning of this week, Jefferson Louis (@jlouislee9) tweeted: A little boy who had a dream and I lived him, but it’s time to call it a day!

“I am very proud to go to the age of 46.

“I thank my former managers, teammates and fans who supported me continuously.

“Well to return the next generation “

He also said to BBC Radio Oxford: “It was a dream for me to become a professional footballer.

“I played on a few great terrain and with some great players, later some beautiful people on my travels, and that later motivated me in my career.

“I have a good circle of friends that really encouraged me to overcome the dark days and strive for more. I have played for a long time and I have to do something right because I have asked more managers to play for them to this day.”

“Before the game (against Swindon) I didn’t notice how much hatred between the two sides is traded,” LlllllllllOuis added.

“I never heard the casham so loudly that day when I scored a goal, it was a great feeling, and after the game it hit what I had done.

“And in the next round we pulled ourselves against arsenal, it was a moment that I will never forget, and I will tell my little boy about it, I can’t describe deep inside what it felt like.

“When we went to highbury, I was so special that I was on the field with the Oxford and Arsenal fans who called my name, I will not forget it.”

Thame United wrote: “Jeff, who had 4 stints with Talle United, has announced that competitive football withdraw

“Astonishing 903 competitive football games with 293 goals in a number of teams. Jefferson spent 4 years with Thame and ended his career with 3 Oxfordshire Senior Cups

“A great congratulations on an astonishing career by Jeff from Allen at Tiel United and we wish you all the best for the future.”

Jefferson Louis added: “The boots stay in the closet, I will not play again.

“Apart from the fact that I show the boys on the pitch what to do in training, I will rest from playing.”

Louis also works in a pupil transfer center for school children who were excluded by the schools after having spent a short time in prison at the age of 22 to drive dangerously.

“I say to children that everyone has to make mistakes to learn” Louis continued.

“I tell you that I made mistakes and I still learn every day because I am open to it. I lived it so that I can understand it better.

“I have the feeling that when I help a child, it is as if I would achieve a goal. I feel on the top of the world because I want you to live your true potential, and it is important that you do justice to your dream, it’s so rewarding for me.”

Then it was announced via www.logownfc.net: We are pleased to confirm that Jefferson Louis has returned to the Slough Town Football Club, this time in the role of the deputy first team trainer.

Jefferson will primarily focus on working with the strikers of the association and offering specialists coaching and instructions and at the same time taking a valuable mentoring role for the younger players within the squad.

After Jefferson came to the rebels in June 2023 as a performance trainer, she played an important role in the provision of physical training sessions with high intensity, the management of warm-up and activation routines and advice on restoring and nutrition after the game.

Now 46, Jefferson announced that yesterday he was retired from the game and reduced the curtain to an extraordinary career that was almost 30 years old. After starting in non-League football, he bought a move to Oxford United in 2002 and represented numerous clubs throughout the country last season for Thame United.

Jefferson also performed five appearances for Slough Town in 2022 and 2023 and supported Scott Davies at the beginning of his term.

Manager Scott Davies shared his thoughts about the appointment:

“These days, for me, I am more about mentality than the ability. Every player at the level has skills that have made it possible for you to get to this point, but it is so important that we as a management team can also use his psychological side.

Throughout the season, individuals will need one to one chat if things are not going as well as they may have hoped for, and I firmly believe that Yella and now Jefferson, who follows the group, have covered all bases with the abundance of experiences that we can now return to the players. “

Please welcome us to Jefferson back to Arbor Park!
